Back from holidays. And with a late strip, for the passing of Ozzy Osbourne. If this name is unknown to you, this will be (another) cryptic story. And if you're not into Metal, here are the facts needed to understand (even if it's killing the joke): Ozzy, with his band Black Sabbath, are considered as founding fathers of the Metal music as we know today. And along the classical Evil imagery, there was a song named "Behind the Wall of Sleep" on the first Black Sabbath's first album, of course inspired by the HPL's story . Though it has little to do with the original story themes, as studied by BobbyD in its blog on the subject, and not the first band to refer to Howard, it can be seen as the first step in the long, dense and complicated relationship between Metal and Lovecraft.
Ozzy's outfit and chair were seen at his last concert in Birmingham, in July, a few weeks before his death (caused by years of excess and Parkinson/Heart disease)
And last panel refers to infamous stage incidents, when Ozzy bit off a bat and doves heads.
I was not a great fan of Ozzy's solo career, even if he always gathered excellent teams of musicians around him. His impact (with or wihtout Black Sabbath) on the Metal scene is huge, and was worth a strip.
